Archie, after reading Mary's letter, is visited by Lily. She says she had no way of knowing she would not see him again, and urged him to come to the garden. |

Back home without notifying anyone, Archie and Neville go to the garden looking for the children; suddenly, the wheelchair bursts onto the scene, with Colin pushing Mary. Archie and Neville are stunned, and it is soon obvious that Neville's “treatment” is not responsible. |
|
Archie can show Colin the affection he needs at last; free of the fear he felt that he would lose his son and have to face more pain. |
|
|
Archie and Colin welcome Mary as part of the family, and Archie tells Mary the garden is now hers. |
|
The entire cast assembles for the final song, followed by bows to the audience. |
