After Dr. Craven comes to “rescue” Colin, Mrs. Medlock takes Mary from the room and tells her never to return, as the dreamers look on. |

As Mary runs from Colin's room, more dreamers begin to appear, and Mary begins to remember what happened in India. As she recognizes each of the spirits, they fade, until she encounters her father. In the background, Lily waits to show her the Garden door. |

After she enters Lily's garden,Mary enters a dream state in which it is a birthday party, and everyone special to her, living or dead, is there. |
|
Neville catches Archie packing to leave for Paris; and is not planning to say goodbye to Mary or the staff. Neville sings of his brother's pain and plight. |

|
Archie sings of his dreams of seeing Lily and Mary, together in the garden. |
|
Archie visits with his sleeping son before leaving for Paris, reads and sings to him, and confirms that he loves him. |
|
|
|
After another visit to the garden with Dickon, Mary goes to visit Colin, just in time to help with one of his temper tantrums. He is convinced he is developing a hump, but Mary shows him it is normal. |
|
After Mary leaves, Colin's mother, Lily, arrives as a dreamer and sings to him about visiting the garden. |
