Archie and his brother have been discussing Mary. Neville has found a boarding school he wants her to attend. Mary asks for a garden plot, and does not want to go away. |
Archie and Neville are both reminiscing about Lily, and how Mary has the same hazel eyes. It's obvious Neville never understood why Lily married Archie instead if himself. |
Mary hears the same crying late at night, and once again arises from bed to investigate; the dreamers lead her to a room she has not seen before... |
...as she enters the bedroom of Colin, Archie's son, he begins shouting at her to leave. He believes he will die, or become a hunchback like his father. Mary persists, and soon he accepts her friendship. |
