Willum gives Rick a great get-out-of-my-life speech, which Tansy is very pleased with, and Rick is not paying attention to. |
When Rick finally does turn away from the window, and starts paying attention; Willum is beyond courtesy. “You have until I count three to get out!” Rick says “OK, I can take a hint!” as he heads for the door. |

Tansy and Axel are concerned when Willum seems to be sobbing; but it's laughter. “I presume someone here can tell me why I'm covered with cottage cheese!” Willum mimics Waldgrave. |
Willum offer dinner to both; Axel has to see a show. Suddenly it dawns on Willum that he can take the job in Virginia and spend spare time with Tansy. All is right with the world. |

After waving goodbye to them, Axel calls Kemp; a co-conspirator we have never seen, just heard on the phone. “Tell me some news” says Kemp. “I think we did it, babe; come on up, it's open” replies Axel. |
“In another minute, I would have lost it, I swear” says Axel. “You know, it's really hard walking in here, and not becoming Rick” replies Kemp. The consensus is that Willum and Tansy will be heading for D.C. Together tomorrow. |
Axel says “Willum just
needed his life interfered with a little.” “I guess
this is that anonymous favor Tansy has pestered you about?”
Axel will not give Kemp an answer, and offers a
cigar instead. How do I look?” asks Axel. |

When the stage lights come back up, the cast members filter in from different entrances, except Alex, who rises up from behind the couch. |
....and then the final bow from the cast. |
