Audrey II has now reached full size, and is attracting so much business and interest, that the shop is booming; they even needed extra phone lines! |

Seymour has bought a leather jacket similar to the one worn by Orin Scrivello to impress Audrey, but her reaction is not good. He thinks she misses Orin, but she says she is relieved at his sudden disappearance. |

With the usual accompaniment by the girls, Audrey and Seymour admit (in song) part of their feelings for each other. |

As Seymour and Audrey arrive for work, Mushnik begins to question Seymour about the “little red dots” on the floor. Seymour asks Audrey to leave so they can talk. The police found a bag from the flower shop in Orin's office, and questioned Mushnik. |

Mushnik then remembers that the trash is not picked up very often, and finds the bloodied dentist's jacket. He also has a photo of a hat from Orin's office; it's Seymour's! |

says he did not kill Orin Scrivello; Mushnik says he should go to
the police and tell what he knows. When Mushnik leaves the room,

As they prepare to go to the police, Seymour asks Mushnik about making the day's deposit at the bank; it's not in the safe, but in the plant! Seymour tells Mushnik to knock, and the plant opens for Mushnik to crawl in and “retrieve the money”. |

Seymour gets an offer to host a weekly gardening show on television. |
