When Mushnik can't make change for a Hundred, the customer decides to spend it all! Mushnik is overjoyed!

Mushnik says he will take them to dinner, but Audrey has a date, (which Mushnik does not approve of), and he tells Seymour to stay and nurse the plant.

Seymour sings a lament to the plant, begging it to grow for him.

He even kneels, and lists all the things he has tried; none of which worked.

When Seymour accidentally cut his finger, the plant
(named Audry II) suddenly begins to move. Seymour realizes the plant wants blood, and feeds it.

Seymour thinks out loud that a few drops won't hurt; a statement he will come to regret soon.

At a later date, Mushnik stops on the street, and he and the girls listen to a radio interview Seymour is doing about the plant.

Seymour appears with Audrey II, and Mushnik tells him he has five more radio appearances set up for him!

Seymour and the girls sing to his success and transformation from a loser to a local celebrity.

Audrey arrives (too late) with her arm in a sling. The girls advise her to dump the boyfriend; they have another in mind; the suddenly successful Seymour!
