The second part of the performance begins, using Hamlet's changes to the script.

The king becomes noticeably uncomfortable as the play progresses.

As The King in the play is poisoned, Claudius seems on the verge of nausea.

As the King in the play dies, Claudius can take no more and leaves abruptly. Hamlet takes this as confirmation of what he has heard.

Hamlet confronts Guildenstern after the play, accusing him of trying to “play me like a pipe”.

Claudius is now wracked with guilt over what he has done, and goes to pray.

Hamlet happens upon him, but decides that killing him while praying would send him to Heaven.

Polonius has asked Hamlet to meet with the Queen, and has arranged to hide there to report to the King.

As Hamlet threatens his mother, her reaction causes Polonius to cry out from behind the curtain.

Hamlet, thinking Claudius is there, kills Polonius by mistake.

The ghost again appears before Hamlet, to remind him of his duty; vengeance.

Hamlet asks if she can see or hear the spirit; Gertrude cannot, and assumes insanity in her son.
